Happy July! I hope you looked after yourself in June. As we head into another month, here are some of the ways I will be practising self care in July.

Break from the Norm

It’s much too easy to get sucked into the mundane routines of everyday life. Work, home, work, home and so on.

Last week my therapist set me ‘homework’ to break from routine whenever I can and take the opportunity to do some stuff for myself. Even if its something as small as going for a coffee.

I certainly don’t need telling twice. Why not give it a try yourself this month?

Plan a Trip

Manchester has FINALLY realised that its summer. And with the warm weather comes my inevitable itchy feet. Cue lots of European trips planned.

I really believe that travel improves your mental health and now is the perfect time to plan a trip somewhere new and take some time to get away and clear your head.

Give Daily Meditation a Try

Meditation really helps calm my mind whenever I feel stressed or upset. And all it takes is a quick ten minutes.

Headspace is my favourite app for this.
